How to dress like a nerd

So you are here because you want to dress like a nerd? Oh you don't want to- you can use this as a guide to avoid dressing like a nerd too! Newsflash: The 80's are back!! This should be one way to get the whole world to dress like nerds. There isn't much from the 80's that I would like to bring back! There was neon, power shoulders, and really odd carrot pants. Obviously there are ways in this modern day to make it look trendy and stylish... but if you are actually looking to dress like a nerd- take the 80's trends and exaggerate it! Wear neon leggings with a neon top with power shoulders... to make it even nerdier- make that carrot pants! To top it all off- make your hair big, wavy, and unkempt.

The runway is exploding with these trends. Although these looks are probably not within our comfort zone- well, that may be the case with all runway looks- you've got to adapt their trends to fit with your style. It's not your job to conform yourself into the latest trends.

Here are some ideas:
You can wear a neon sweater under a blazer to tone it down for work or errands.
If you are pear-shaped or you don't have curves at all, you can wear power shoulders to accentuate your top and balance your figure.
But those carrot pants- they make your butt look big- I don't know why you'd want to walk around with a heavy bottom. If you insist on trying this trend- you may have to look for a pair that are not particularly carrot-shaped.

Unless, of course, you want to look like a nerd... in this case, you can disregard these ideas and wear it all! There you have it--- A Nerd!
